Academic Grant: Introduction to Research Activities

POSITION CHARACTERISTICS:

· Grant (this  is not a labour contract)

· Estimated application deadline: Sept. 10, 2019

· 10 – 20 hours/week; flexible schedule, compatible with studies (exams, etc.)

· Place: EEBE-UPC

OBJECTIVES:

Grant objective: Introduction to Research Activities in the area of Process Systems Engineering

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • UPC Undergraduate student (Bachelor/Master).
  • English (advanced), Catalan and Spanish languages.
  • A minimum average mark of 7.25 in previous courses is required ([0.0-10.0] range)
  • Advanced knowledge of basic computer tools (MSOffice, Google, web based applications, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of PSE tools (like Hysys, GAMS, Matlab, ...)

    • IMPORTANT: In spite of the deadline indicated in this general UPC link, a previous prioritization procedure is required, so any applicantion to be supported by CEPIMA should have been agreed before Sept. 10, 2019

     

    Additionally, during the selection process knowledge/experience in one or several of the following areas will be considered as a merit:

    • Knowledge of Computer Aided tools relevant to chemical Process Systems Engineering (simulation/optimization tools, etc.).
    • Operations Research.
    • Statistical techniques for Process Modelling and Control.
