Conference/Seminar: Chemical Engineering @ Multiscale
Speaker: Prof. Cristina Moliner – Università degli Studi di Genova, Italia
Date/Time: Thursday, April 25th, 2024 @ 10:00
Place: CDB - EEBE, Building I, room I.0.1 ("Sala Polivalente")
Google Meet https://meet.google.com/nhd-nxzy-vmn (pre-registration required)
The talk will present the development of chemical engineering processes from a multiscale perspective, analyzing experimental activities complemented by process simulation at different levels of detail.
The development of a Spouted Bed reactor for its use as gasifier of lignocellulosic waste will be one of the common threads, with its evolution from laboratory to demonstration scale... but not the only one!
Short bio: Dr. Cristina Moliner works as Adjunct Professor at the Università degli Studi di Gènova, Italy.
Her research focuses on environmental technologies, thermo-chemical processes, biomass, renewable energies, simulation tools and multiscale modelling.
From the academic year 2017/2018 she teachs Multiscale Analysis and Computer Simulation of Chemical Engineering Processes on the second year of Chemical and Process Engineering
